Upper Body Workout | Sweat & Sculpt

This metabolic workout will spike your metabolism and build upper body strength!

This upper body workout is a mixture of cardio and strength exercises for an efficient fat burning workout. The 4 exercises in this routine will work your cardiovascular system while you tone your entire upper body. Grab two small to medium dumbbells and feel the burn!

1. Dumbbell alternating snatches⁣⁣⁣
2. Shoulder press jumping jacks
3. Dumbbell alternating punches
4. Kettlebell swings

HOW TO DO IT
Beginner: 30s WORK / 30-60s REST⁣
Intermediate: 40s WORK / 20-30s REST⁣
Advanced: 60s WORK / 10-15s REST⁣

♡Reps & Sets version: 10-20 reps | 10-40s rest⁣ between exercises
♡Complete 3-5 rounds

FORM TIPS
Dumbbell alternating snatches⁣⁣⁣: Keep your core engaged and back straight throughout this exercise⁣⁣.

Shoulder press jumping jacks: Point your toes slightly outwards to help you avoid having your knees collapse inward (which can lead to injury!). Start with bodyweight only if holding a dumbbell is too challenging.⁣

Dumbbell alternating punches: ⁣⁣⁣⁣Pretend like you’re sitting back into a chair when squatting and keep the dumbbells at shoulder height for better shoulder activation⁣⁣.

Kettlebell swings: Keep your back flat and your core engaged! Focus on hinging from the hips and squeezing your glutes at the top of the move. You should not be using your arms to swing the weight – the momentum should come from you pushing your hips forward and engaging your glutes.
